Refund Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2024
This Refund Policy governs refunds for membership fees, task‑based plans, and other services offered by ZipLegal dba ZumaZip.com (“ZumaZip”). Certain projects, task‑based plans, or other services may be subject to individual refund policies or contractual terms. Where such policies or contracts exist, those terms will apply in addition to this policy. In cases of direct conflict, the individual service or project contract terms shall supersede this policy.
ZumaZip bills customers in advance at the beginning of each billing cycle based on the plan selected by the customer.
1. Cancellations and Downgrades
Refunds for cancellations or downgrades will be processed only if the customer has provided the required notice period. A 30‑day written notice is required for all cancellations and downgrades. Any overpayment, after deducting charges for the notice period and pending dues, will be refunded to the customer.
2. Non‑Usage of Plan Hours
Refunds will not be issued for unused plan hours. Unused hours may be rolled over only as permitted under the specific plan’s terms and conditions.
3. Deficiency in Service
In the event of a service deficiency, ZumaZip will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue and re‑deliver the task, assignment, or project. Refunds for deficiencies, if any, will be issued only in the form of additional service hours on a pro‑rata basis. All such claims must be submitted to ZumaZip’s Quality Department by email or through the web form within three (3) business days of delivery. Failure to raise such a claim within this period constitutes acceptance of the service. ZumaZip’s determination in these matters shall be final and binding.
4. No Refunds After Work Commences
Once work has commenced on a task, assignment, or project, no refunds will be issued except as specifically provided for under Section 3.
5. Refund Request Cut‑Off
All refund requests must be made within thirty (30) days of the original transaction date. No refunds will be processed after this period.
6. Dispute Resolution and Chargebacks
Customers agree to contact ZumaZip directly to resolve any billing or service disputes before initiating a chargeback or third‑party payment dispute. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of this policy.
7. Best‑Effort Basis
All tasks, assignments, and projects are performed on a best‑effort basis. ZumaZip does not guarantee specific outcomes or results.
8. Billing Errors and Other Adjustments
Refunds for billing errors, referral discounts, or similar adjustments will be issued to the same payment method used for the original transaction. For security reasons, no alternative refund methods (e.g., cash, check, or different credit cards) will be permitted. Refunds are non‑transferable and may only be issued to the original payer.
9. Auto‑Renewals
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscription plans will auto‑renew for the next billing cycle. Customers are responsible for submitting cancellation or downgrade requests in accordance with Section 1 prior to renewal to avoid additional charges.
10. Transaction Charges and Currency Fluctuations
Refunds may be subject to credit card transaction fees, currency exchange fluctuations, and delays imposed by payment gateways or intermediary banks. ZumaZip has no control over these factors. ZumaZip’s responsibility is limited to initiating any approved refund within three (3) business days of resolution. Receipt of funds into your account is subject to processing times determined by your financial institution.
11. Customer‑Authorized Purchases
Refunds are not applicable to goods or services purchased on behalf of the customer at the customer’s instruction using the customer’s payment method.
12. Assignment and Non‑Transferability
Refund rights and services under this policy are personal to the original customer and cannot be assigned or transferred to any other person or entity without ZumaZip’s prior written consent.
13. Force Majeure
ZumaZip is not liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this policy due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, labor disputes, utility failures, or network interruptions.
14. Limitation of Liability and No Warranty
ZumaZip’s total liability for any claim related to this policy or its services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the customer in the thirty (30) days preceding the claim. All services are provided “as‑is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose.
15. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Attorney’s Fees
Any dispute arising under this policy that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Virginia. The prevailing party in any dispute or arbitration shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.
16. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
17. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of this Refund Policy is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Refund Policy, together with any applicable project contracts, constitutes the entire agreement between you and ZumaZip regarding refunds.
18. Modifications to This Policy
ZumaZip reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will become effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

While ZumaZip cannot guarantee specific results, we are committed to making every reasonable effort to provide high‑quality service and maximize the likelihood of success for our clients.
